Kindergarten
The teachers and staff at Little Blessings Learning Center of St. John's Lutheran Church in Union offer full-day kindergarten, the only full-time Kindergarten program in the area.
As a church, St. John's sees Christian education for all ages as an important part of its mission in the community.
The program is taught by a certified teacher with a Master's degree in education.
The kindergarten uses curriculum that meets or exceeds the benchmarks established by the Illinois State Board of Education while providing a loving, Christian atmosphere where students can develop and thrive.
The program includes instruction in phonics, reading, math, science, and social science. It also provides daily religious education and a weekly chapel experience.
All of this learning is achieved through direct instruction, hands-on centers, music, large motor movement, computer time, and much more. |
